FABRIC & SUPPLIERS

Since the inception of our company, we’ve been committed to the use of environmentally-friendly fabrics for our products. It doesn’t make sense to make a reusable bag, designed to protect the environment, with a material that isn’t eco-friendly.

When we say ‘Eco-Textiles’, we mean a material that is better for the environment than a conventional textile. For example, Bag the Habit's signature fabric is made with 100% recycled content, including plastic bottles and manufacturing scraps. In addition to reducing resource consumption (the fabrics used by many of our competitors are derived from petroleum), the production of this material also means less water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and landfill waste.

We believe in the power of cross-cultural partnerships to connect the planet, and build bridges where before there were gaps. Since day one we have sourced materials and services from around the world, from Los Angeles to Guatemala to Shanghai. Currently about half of our sourcing is done domestically in the USA, and the rest abroad. We work closely with suppliers and get to know each of them on a personal level.

If you have questions about how our reusable bags are made, don’t hesitate to ask! bags@bagthehabit.com.

Bag the Habit is a proud supporter of Repreve yarn. Repreve uses a unique process that turns consumer and industrial waste (such as plastic bottles and manufacturing scraps) into one of the most environmentally friendly textile products in the world.
Bag the Habit uses the U Trust Verification Program as well as internal validation systems to guarantee that all recycled fabric claims are traceable, transparent, and certifiably sustainable.
Bag the Habit's finished products are tested for both strength and lead content by Intertek, the leading global provider of quality and safety standards for consumer products.

These are shorter than the home page version but the same width. We want to be able to add images or text into these boxs. Use them as sort of ad sapce. We would want them on all pages. Does that make sense? let me know!
